Distance Learning Schools:
Distance learning schools offer a person the opportunity to go to school without going to a campus. There are many different schools and colleges that offer distance learning programs and degrees to students but keep in mind they can vary in nature. More specifically there are different formats for distance learning programs such as online schools where all or some of the courses are taken online via the Internet. Then there are more traditional home based distance learning programs.

More traditional home based distance learning programs include study courses through the mail via tapes, books, and CD's on a stand alone basis or in combination with online studying. Some programs may offer traditional "time frame" courses (i.e., the class or classes begin and end on specific dates), much like a regular college class, only in a distance learning format. Other distance or home study programs may be self-paced where you are in total control of when you complete the class.
