An HVAC Technician is responsible for the temperature control in a house or building. HVAC, which also stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, is a very important part of the office and house building process. During the construction of a house or an office building HVAC technicians help to ensure that the HVAC system will be in compliance with governmental permits. After a house or office building has been completed HVAC technicians will perform repairs and maintenance to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as needed.
Career opportunities for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technicians are almost limitless. If careers in the field of HVAC appear interesting to you then you should know that people with training and certifications are more likely to get hired by employers. Once you have completed your course work you will most likely need to take one or more certification exams.
