In terms of population, Connecticut is the 29th largest state with a total of 3.4 million residents. It is also listed as 48th in size by land area, which makes it the state with the 4th most densely populated area. Connecticut is located in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. It is also common to refer to parts of southwestern Connecticut as being part of the major New York metropolitan area. Connecticut is known as the Constitution State because of its historical past that dates back to the early colonial times, where this area was an influential part of the development of early American government.

Career Ideas
Searching for ideas for an ideal career? Here are some careers to consider:
Biomedical engineers combine their knowledge of medicine, biology, and engineering to find solutions to many medical and health-related issues. They are responsible for conducting research in addition to developing new products or machines that assist others in the medical field.
A large number of dental assistants work directly with a dentist. Before the dentist arrives, assistants take medical information, make preparations, and attend to the patients comfort level. During procedures, dental assistants hand instruments to the doctor and keep the patients mouth dry. In addition to these duties, the assistant sterilizes instruments and equipment, advises patients on pre- and post-operative care, takes x-rays, applies anesthetics, and removes stitches.
Diagnostic medical sonographers train in hospitals, trade or vocational schools, colleges or universities, and the Armed Forces. Most programs prefer candidates with a strong math and science high school background.
